Privacy Policy

World Class Scholars ("WCS", "we", "us") operates the Global Commons, a free professional network and professional-development platform for educators. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed the Global Commons to collect as little as possible: it is a platform for educators, and we do not knowingly collect data from students or children.

1. Information we collect

Account information you provide: name, email, country, subjects and age groups you teach, professional profile details, and any credentials you import.
Content you create: resources, comments, suggested edits, messages, and meeting requests.
Usage data: basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how the service is used, to help us improve it.

2. How we use your information

To operate the platform: authentication, matchmaking, resources, messaging, scheduling, and professional-development credentialing.
To communicate with you about your account and the service.
To keep the platform safe and to comply with law.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us run the platform (for example, hosting and email delivery) under appropriate confidentiality obligations, or where required by law. Professional-development credentials you choose to share (for example, to LinkedIn) are shared at your direction.

4. Data retention & your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your account information. Contact us to exercise these rights. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law.

5. International transfers

The Global Commons is a global platform; your information may be processed in countries other than your own, with appropriate safeguards.
